There are compelling arguments for the value of video games in learning and teaching. But what about apps, those ever-tappable icons on our screens that can capture children’s attention so effectively? This thought-provoking article over at the Hechinger Report makes the case that some “learning” apps we are letting our children play with don’t adhere to basic principles of, well, learning.
